Punjabi Edition of Jasmine Shah’s ‘Kejriwal Model’ Released at Mohali Function

The Punjabi edition of Jasmine Shah’s book Kejriwal Model was officially launched at a special event held at Kalkat Bhawan, Mohali. The presence of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, senior AAP leader Manish Sisodia, and the author himself marked the occasion.

The book, originally written in English, outlines the political and governance vision of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), which has emerged as a significant force in Indian politics since its formation in 2012. The Punjabi edition aims to make the ideas behind AAP’s rise accessible to readers in Punjab, where the party currently holds power.

Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, speaking at the launch, linked Punjab’s recent No. 1 ranking under the National Statistical Assessment (NSA) to the governance model outlined in the book. “Punjab’s top rank is not accidental. It is the result of our commitment to transparent, accountable and people-first governance,” he said.

Author Jasmine Shah, a policy expert and party strategist, outlines three pillars that define what he calls the ‘Kejriwal Model’: heavy investment in education, health and essential services; strong anti-corruption mechanisms; and strict fiscal prudence. Shah argues that this approach counters traditional trickle-down economics by empowering the poor and middle classes directly through state-delivered benefits.

The book avoids academic jargon and instead presents its case with policy examples, data, and on-the-ground outcomes. Reforms like reliable electricity and water access, doorstep delivery of services, and focus on school and hospital infrastructure are discussed as real-life results of this approach.

Speaking at the event, Arvind Kejriwal said the book “documents a governance philosophy rooted in the everyday needs of the common man.” Manish Sisodia added that it shows “what politics can achieve when classrooms are treated as more important than political drama.”

The book also acknowledges the political pushback AAP has faced from the Centre, including administrative hurdles and investigative pressure. Yet Shah asserts that the party’s core model has delivered where it matters most — in the daily lives of citizens.

With the Punjabi edition now in circulation, Kejriwal Model aims to initiate deeper debate across Punjab about what governance should look like — and who it must serve.
