In a wake of this, Central Health Ministry came up with new idea. This idea is all about SMS Complain system. Any one who has visited PGIMER in last 24 hours or residing nearby areas of PGIMER, would get a message every third day regarding the PGIMER services. The Message will ask you to rate Institute’s services if it is worth satisfying, just satisfying or annoying.
As per Senior Official of Central Health Ministry, this initiative has been a suggestion of a 10 year old Government School going child of Chandigarh, who promised anonymity by the ministry. it is pertinent to mention here, that SMS Complain service has an anonymity clause in it which clearly mentions that Complainant identity would not be revealed in any case. This Child has sent his Suggestion over PM Mann ki baat portal after which suggestion been implemented at warfoot.
PGIMER handles more than 20000 patients a day
PGIMER Chandigarh being a premier institute handles around more than 20000 patients a day. After the implementation of this service A senior Doctor of Orthopedics department said that there is no doubt this idea going to help a lot in improvising the facilities in PGIMER, but satisfying every patient here is next to impossible. What more important is that State Government shall enforce State hospitals to provide best possible treatment to their patients so that PGIMER pressure could be cropped.
