The Ludhiana police have raided the prominent city-based hotel Radisson Blue on Wednesday late night and arrested around 30 people for gambling. The police have also recovered around Rs 30 lakh from their possession.
The police team was headed by the Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (ADCP-III) IPS Surendra Lamba. ADCP Lamba said that the police raised the hotel following a tip off and caught a group of around 30 people gambling in the hotel.
The cash collected from them sums around Rs 30 lakh. Further official stated that the police will also take action against the hotel authority in this context.
Whereas in the Context Radisson Hotel Ludhiana authorities said that This Development comes as shock to us wherein our premises got used for such nefarious activities. We as a management were totally unaware of any such activity ever at our premises. Management of hotelhad never allowed any such activity in its history and we simply condemn such activities. We have initiated suo moto internal enquiry to find the accomplices, if any, at hotel end. We will take serious action against the guilty, if any found and also will cooperate as well as help the Police authorities in this regard.
