This young Mom who is also a Nursing Officer of PGIMER, resident of sector 63, has a different story to tell you all. One is a line of duty, everyone has to do it, whether you like it or not. Another is, there is evident risk of life, panic in the atmosphere and in families, lots of Ifs and Buts, and in between all this, this lady writes an application to her Nursing Incharge that she wishes to work in COVID Hospital.

Yes, she got herself placed in the ward where Coronavirus Positive patients are kept. Rashmi told this decision to her husband Bharat Saini, who supported her without any question. Not only this, but her in-laws have also supported her in a big way saying, “It is a Lifetime Opportunity to do something for your nation, We will handle Home, your baby, You Handle that front”.

Rashmi, whose duty finished on 5 May and she is in her quarantine facility for 14 days in Hotel Park View, says that she is missing two-year-old daughter Ashmira like anything as it has been more than 25 days to have seen her daughter. Whenever someone asks her daughter where is her mom, she fingers at the phone that Mom is in Phone because Rashmi often gives video calls to her daughter.

Rashmi is staying in the quarantine facility of Park View Hotel, where they are just not allowed to move out of their room. When asked Rashmi, How does she feel there, She says, “It’s like a Five Star Prison, you can not go out, you can not talk to anyone in person. You are all alone. This is really tough, yet I am satisfied that I volunteered and did something for my nation. Now, Let’s see How God keeps me as I was in direct contact with Positive Patients”.

When asked about this, PGIMER COVID Facility Incharge, Prof. Dr. Vipin Koushal says, “We are blessed to have such staff with us, who come forward and wish to serve for their nation like Nursing Officer Rashmi. We wish her Best of her health and wishes she shall come out healthy from her quarantine period. We wish that everyone shall think like her and shall come forward”.
