In a bid to provide relief to common man, the Punjab government has decided to fix the prices of coronavirus treatment in Punjab. A committee formed by Chief Minister Punjab would flash fixed rates on 22 June, alike the Delhi Government. This is going to cap the charges for COVID-19 treatment in private hospitals. In Punjab Private Hospitals are charging Rs 75000 for ventilator and for normal Covid patient its Rs 30000 per day.
In Delhi, Government has advised fixing rates for isolation beds within ₹8,000 to₹10,000. For ICU unites without ventilators, the charges will be between ₹13,000 to ₹15,000. For ICU with ventilators, a bed will cost between ₹15,000 to ₹18,000. All the charges include PPE costs.
With a record hike coronavirus cases in the Amritsar and other districts of Punjab, CM going to implement one more rule on people coming to Punjab from other states. Now, they need to get themselves tested for COVID before coming to Punjab. If their report is negative, only then they will be allowed to cross the borders of Punjab else they will be sent back.
