Dictatorial rules laid for migrants in Punjab’s village A dictatorial decision is laid yet again by the villagers in Punjab. So, in turn, the villagers are considering themselves above the constitution. Of late, it is reported that the Youth Committee of the village Jandpur, following the precedence of Mundhon Sangatian in Mohali, has now taken a decision. The Youth Committee of Jandpur village passed a resolution concerning non-Punjabis. It also lays down guidelines for the migrants coming from other states. A few days ago, the Kurali Gram Panchayat of Mohali district had ordered migrants living in the village to vacate. The matter has reached the High Court now.
Now, the residents of Jandpur village, Kharar, Mohali district, have come up with a new directive regarding migrants. The village’s Youth Committee passed resolutions, with consensus from all the villagers, including:

- Number of persons in a house should be checked and verified on for cross validation (no more than two persons in each room).
