It takes time to develop antibodies against the virus
Prof. Ashok Kumar, Addl. Medical Superintendent & Official Spokesperson, PGIMER along with his wife Mrs Pratibha came forward to take COVID-19 vaccine shots here at PGIMER today. Urging others to join the vaccination after he got the jab, Prof. Ashok Kumar stated, “The situation is actually scary now. With the COVID cases literally peaking, the threat of getting infected is all the more real now.” Prof. Ashok Kumar further cautioned, “Follow COVID Appropriate behaviour even after vaccination because it will take time to develop antibodies against the virus.” “So vaccination and COVID appropriate the behaviour of wearing a mask, hand hygiene and maintaining social distance even after vaccination can only help in containing the transmission,” said Prof Ashok Kumar.
Sharing her experience of vaccination and looking cheerful, Mrs Pratibha said, “The staff at the vaccination centre deserves appreciation. The ambience is peaceful and positive with staff manning the centre well by attending to everyone patiently and responding to their queries. It helps in allaying fears, whatsoever you have.”
