Kolkata Rape Case: If Not Now, Then When? Remember the COVID times, when we were all counting on doctors to save us? If you can recall, many doctors were unable to see their families for months. They too fell sick, and some even lost their lives. We have some questions for you all to think about and introspect: Why are you sitting at home, watching TV, passing comments on protesters, and raising irrelevant questions like how many doctors go to villages for poor patient service? It is so insensitive when it is someone else’s suffering, not yours.

The Trinamool Congress goons who attacked protesting doctors at RG Kar Hospital must have fallen sick during COVID times. They might have an ailing elderly relative at home; so how, and out of what mindset, did they attack the hospital?

Regarding female doctor Moumita Debnath, who was brutally gang-raped and murdered: What was she doing when this horrifying incident happened? She was sleeping after her night duty within the hospital premises. She was gang-raped, beaten, her bones fractured by force, and all of this news is available on the internet. But here the question is: “How and why are these zombies allowed in our society? How many Nirbhayas are required to bring a ‘death sentence’ for these monsters?”

How long will men who engage in teasing girls, women, and children continue to avoid feeling ashamed of themselves and ignore the impact of their actions? When? How long will you wish your daughters, wives, sisters, and girlfriends to stay indoors at any part of the day and night? Why can’t you, as males, think as a society that it is your duty to make the other gender feel safe in your surroundings? You are human, not a python or a deadly animal.
