Coronavirus attendance at Panjab University

Taking cognizance of the fact that a 37-year-old female employee, resident of Sector 29, posted in re-evaluation branch of Panjab University, Chandigarh is found Corona positive and that it is suspected that she and her family might have contact tracing with employees of other branches, The Competent Authority has approved that, as a matter of caution, the Administrative block and Aruna Ranjit Chandra Hall of PU shall remain closed for 3 days i.e. up to 26th June 2020.
The Positive lady have 30 people in her contact tracing including PU employees and her Family members.
In the meantime, all the officers (Deputy Registrars and Assistant Registrars) posted in these blocks shall seek information from officials under their charge as to whether they had any contact with the employees who have been found Corona positive.
Prof Karamjeet Singh, Registrar informed that if there is any scheduled meeting or last date for submission of document during these days, the same stand postponed to next working day. However, the situation will be reviewed on 26th June 2020 for chalking out the further course of action, he added. In the meantime, complete sanitisation of the two buildings has been done today.
